Alright, it's been settled! The Honolulu, Hawaii meet will take place Saturday, December 15th, at jeremymayf's house. The time will be from 10:00AM and then onward, up until whenever you gotta scoot.

Let's use this thread as a compilation of who's going to be there, and who's bringing what, etc. Also if the time must be adjusted, this is where to speak up!

I'm hoping that every Headfi member in Honolulu can be there, because then we will have a very comprehensive list of dynamic headphones...between all of us we have most of the good top ones there are out there!

Now while we have an abundance of headphones and probably amps, there is a concern about whether we have enough sources. As such, it's suggested everybody tote along their favorite portable CD player and some 1/8th to RCA cables, in the event that we don't have enough sources to go around and push comes to shove to listen to some headphone.

It's also recommended that if you have your own treasured pair of interconnects, bring those along...I'm sure the rest of us want to check it out too!

And of course, DON'T FORGET YOUR CDs!

Let's start seeing those show of hands and lists of equipment again! Because this time it's official.

Sounds good Vert.

Here's my stuff
Sony scd-333
Rio
tara labs master Gen. II interconnects
RA-1
EMP
RS-1
Senn HD-600--(Red clou's)
Ety 4p
several lesser caliber cans--Koss, etc.,

I do have a dig. Cam-corder--it also takes stills--but the quality of the stills is only so-so

My list again (somewhat decreased from last time, but Jeremy pretty much had everything I sold so it doesn't matter)

Sony MDR-R10 King
Grado SR-325
Grado HP-1
Sony MDR-V6 - with and without Beyer pads
Audio Valve RKV Mark II
JMT CMOY amp
Totem Acoustic Sinew ICs
Panasonic CT-570

I actually just bought a brand spanking new 2 megapixel Fuji Finepix 2600 digicam that's dying to be used, so I think we're more than adequately covered on the pics.

Yes I mean CD players. Or MD players or whatever is good with people. But going by the "bigger is better" principal, we'd ideally want to run everything from big bad CDPs like Jeremy's 333ES, and that's just not going to leave much openings for anybody else waiting in line.

Hmm, not as many people checking in as last time...that's not good.

ai0tron, you're more than welcome to come along for the ride if you're in the area during the 15th...I for one would be glad to meet you in person.

You'd get to hear the R10s too.

Awesome!! I hope I can make it as I also look forward to meeting you and anyone else who shows up. While I don't know my way around Hawaii very well my Dad has lived their for many years and pretty much knows his way around the whole Island. He lives on the beach in Eva so it's a good drive but not too bad in all reality. I'll keep in touch and let you know for sure when I arrive in Hawaii after the 9th.

And uh yeah, I would love to hear the famed R10's through the famed RKV Mark 2... I just wish I could bring my Melos! I'll take a picture and bring it in my pocket.

Indeed, the timing seems most felicitous for such an event.

Is anyone interested in comparing MFSL and DCC titles with their normally aspirated counterparts? I could circulate a list.

The AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000 cdp will have stock tubes only, since Upscale Audio forgot to tell me they have been waiting for a week and a half for someone to take the Siemans tubes I ordered down to the mailbox. (sigh) I told Kevin not to worry about it--he wasn't.

My computer may be down from tue. till who knows when. I may need the vital statistics before then (when, where, how).
