Can I connect my Fiio X5 ii by the coaxial cable to my surround receiver to feed it multichannel audio? I tried this just now, but only got 2 or 3 of the 5 channels, so wondering how to get the 5 channels?

Why am I doing this? Because my main disc player is a PS4 Pro and some DVD surround discs don't play properly (or at all) on it, so I've ripped some and want to play them with the Fiio as the source.

Any ideas?

The first question I have is how did you rip the DVD audio, and into what format, to retain the original surround quality? DVDAE & FLAC or something else?

I have not tried feeding any of my daps to receiver but I can dabble if necessary.
