Hello. Both my X1 and new X3 play gapless FLAC fine but not mp3 or aac. I am using dbpoweramp to rip my music to FLAC and then converting FLAC to lame mp3 or fdk-aac. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I need to use when converting FLAC to lossy to maintain the gapless data or is this just an issue with the Fiio players? Thanks!

It's been mentioned a number of times in other related threads, but the problem is with the lossy files, as far as I know.  As you are aware, your lossless FLAC files don't have this issue.  From what I've read, there isn't a setting or fix to correct the issue for lossy files.

Hello, this is not a reply but a question: I just ordered the FiiO X1 MP3 player and I'm converting my iTunes library to FLAC files, my question is: Will FiiO X1 play those FLAC files, and do I just drag and drop them from the converted folders into the SD card while the SD card is in the player? Will they show as albums? I am so confused and I sure hope someone can help.. Thanks!

Sorry if the late reply.You could copy or sync the FLAC files to the SD card of the X1. The X1 can support FLAC up to 192 kHz/24 bit.
If you would like to read the music files from album category, you are required to update the media library from system settings first.
