Is there any info on approximately release date of KA7?
Last edited:
bothDoes anyone know if the KA5 uses both DAC's for the 3.5mm port? I know the BTR5 used only one of the dual dacs through the single ended port. I assume the BTR7 and KA5 both only use one DAC for 3.5mm but can't find much info on that.

Now it works! This new Fiio KA5 audio driver is able to go up to 1024 samples buffer size in my DAW, Pro Tools.Dear friend,
Please try whether the attachment works?
Best regards
Yes, you are very professionalAnd the last one,
Headphone gain for 3.5mm output is 2Vrms(High) & 1.4Vrms(Low), is this numbers right?
Thanks

I was getting this as well. I swapped out the supplied USB C to USB C cable with a flat rubberized one that I found on Amazon for £11. Problem fixed, so my bee some poor cables go through QC. I guess Fiio do not make the cables, just source them from a 3rd party. Great DAC, I'm more than happy with it driving my 150 Ohms RHA CL750 IEMsIm getting clicks when listening after ~5 minutes. When I listen to not loud and classic music (Piano or cello) sometimes I hear clicks from the left. It's random audible clicks usually 5~10 times per song. I have already changed the cable, tried different settings, and still, there are clicks. Kinda annoying. Does anyone have a similar problem?
I don't think so. These aren't wired to do that.
I know the KA3 and KA5 do NOT support a microphone.I don't think so. These aren't wired to do that.
How did it compare to your V30? I have one and a V50 thinq which I've been using last couple of years with UAPP and the PEQ driving mostly Dunu EST iems and occasionally LCD-X. I've been hugely impressed with the V50 given its just a phone, my desktop setup is a JDS element 2 / Roon. Sadly the v50 needed replacing, so now looking for an external dongle to connect to an S23 Ultra. From experience, it's less about the DAC and much more about the amp, I note that the KA5 is rated at 150mW or thereabouts, but I've no idea what the specs are for the V50 to compare. I have no doubt they'll drive the Dunus without a problem, but not so sure about the audeze, not that it's that important as they're not exactly designed to be portable.I ordered two dongles today.
1) Fiio KA5
And
2) Fosi Audio DS1
My first foray into dongles. I kept my LG V30 going for about five and a half years, but I finally had to upgrade.
No 3.5mm jacks anywhere.
So, a great value DAC/amp and one of the market leaders. Should be fun!
I do miss my V30. At least for the simplicity. The dongle works great, but is a pain to haul around. Luckily 95% of my listening is desktop. How did it compare to your V30?
