Hi. I am longtime member but must admit that my audio hobbies have gone in different directions. So I haven't really been following the headphone space for the last few years.
I recently found a Fiio E7 and E9 amplifier set that I used to use in my office. Has not been used in a few years but seems to work perfectly. Anyways, I put it on eBay and the auction sold for ~$50 USD. And then the buyer didn't want to pay for it so I cancelled the transaction.
Are USB/DACs like this still desirable? is $50 FMV for this tech? Frankly if it goes for $50 I think I would rather just keep it around in case I ever get another desktop computer. I searched the marketplace thread and I think one sold a year or two ago. No idea what the sale price was but the asking was 85 GBP.
