so i have a confusion right here 1st of alll price is not the issue
i have a sony xb950bt so i need a awesome amp for them their specs are:
24ohm
40mm drivers
102db SNR
3-28000hz
1000mA max power handling
so my question is i want more than 115db loudness and as they are pretty easy to drive even e11k can do that but 1st e12 is future  proof for hi end headphones and 2nd it has 820mA max power so will it make my sonys even louder and clear than e11k? because my headphones can handle upto 1000mA
i calculated for 115db it only needs around 90mA but some songs like norah jones songs have lower loudness even at high volumes so pls help me to choose annd correct me if i am wrong....

Yes. The E12 is the better overall amp than the E11K with sufficiently more power. If the cost difference is not a burden to you, get the E12. As you point out, if you ever buy other headphones that are more difficult to drive, you'll appreciate having the extra power. Plus, you'll always wonder if you should have gone with the E12 :)

That being said, if the money difference is important to you, the E11K is a good headphone amp that should power your Sonys quite well.

thank you cel4145 for suggestion and help i said price is not the issue because here in india e12 sells for roughly $100 chepar than US and e11k sells for $20 bucks less thats means its slightly higher in price kinda funny but true. BTW thanks again HAPPY LISTNING
and did you listned Henryk Gorecki - Symphony No.3 'Symphony of Sorrowful Songs' song?

With the 24-Ohm Sony XB950BT plugged into the E11K, your ear drums will hurt way before you even get near the E11K max output.
I would assume the E11K's volume knob would only need to be around 30%-35% to drive the XB950BT at a comfortable volume
My E11 near max volume can drive my AKG K240M 600-Ohm headphones and the E11K is more powerful then the older E11.
But if you want the E12, go for it.
