I'm sorry to insist but here's my situation: I have the BTR3 that i love. Just ordered the 5, but I don't get how exactly you get to the menu and where you see such a menu...oh do you mean you actually see a screen on the BTR??????

You are in the btr5 thread, and yes it has a screen. Long press on the round power button to access the menu, short press to scroll. 2nd to last choice is gain. It will come with a guide, and fiio.com might be helpful.

And yes I know I'm the 5 thread. I just ordered one to upgrade from the 3.
I don't expect much improvement in sound but I wanted another BTR for practical reasons and might as well try the 5.
The 7 is of no interest to me as it is much heavier and less transpotable.

You're welcome. I am getting a pair of go pods today, so mine might go on the market. It's the og version. I've been very happy with it. I don't have golden ears by any means though. I agree about the 7 too. Cheers and enjoy.

i just re-bought BTR5 tough this time is the 2021 edition
i lost my BTR5 OG that i bought shortly after its release and still trucking along.

i was a bit surprised when the button behavior changes a bit.
you can't long press volume? or you can change the behaviour in the app?

Sorry I can not answer your question just wanted to let you know that there will very soon be a new version released (BTR15), in case you did not know.
Comes with 4.4mm and should be out this month.

hello, I had the BRR3k and just bought the BTR5 and the volume control from my headphone cable does not control the volume like it did with BTR3k, is this normal?

Has anybody been able to use EQ with UAC1 mode? FiiO says this is possible, but never worked for me. With Bluetooth no problem, but on USB DAC mode (UAC1) impossible

I have new headphones that need EQ and I am considering changing the BTR5 for a Qudelix 5K

I’m curious as to exactly where you saw FiiO say that it is possible, because everything I have seen from them says it is not, and there is a reason: the EQ feature is contained within the Bluetooth chip, so therefore it is only available when using Bluetooth.
