Hello everyone

So since last night my Fidelios have started making a cracking sound from one of the left side hinges. It really came out of nowhere and I bought them only 2 months ago so it really surprises me that there already is something faulty with them :(
I tried to thighten the screw but it is already in place so that is not it. Obviously greasing the hinge should be the next thing to try but since I am affraid it might damage something, maybe I am too paranoid :D, I have not tried it yet. What do you guys say?

Thanks for answering. What you are saying is probably the problem. No the sound is perfect but anyways, I went to the store where I bought them and they said they will replace them so that is good :)

Same problem here. Tried to WD40 the hinges -- but it's not the hinges. The sound comes from something else. Not in mood of playing the postman game (bought them from Amazon) so I'm looking for a DIY solution.

Oh! Just tried to twist them while listening on the ouside parts. The crackling comes from the connecting band / strip which touches the head -- the band that contains some sort of a reverse spring. Not sure what to use to grease this.

Wow, just as I am writings this -- I have pulled one side of the band (and then the other side) as much as I could to the side to reveal the inside -- then let it go back -- and now the crackling is pretty much (99%) gone.

Problem solving real-time lol.

EDIT: solved 100% actually
