I found a JR audio manufactured ODAC/O2 for 169$ on aliexpress(dot)com, is this fake? I can't share the link here, being a new member.

I e-mailed JR Audio, haven't recieved a reply from them yet.

Lots of fake stuff on aliexpress. If it seems to good to be true, very well might be.

Since the O2/ODAC designs were published for all to see, I'm not sure "fake" is the right term to use. I suppose the question remains whether what is being sold actually does use the real O2/ODAC schematic and is not just a CMoy with an O2 label.

But, I think EVERYTHING purchased from aliexpress is suspect. On that site, the most legitimate sellers are the ones that will actually state they are selling fakes and look-alike clones. It always cracks me up when I see one seller that admits they aren't real, then you see 10 other sellers using the same pictures all claiming they are genuine. Tread cautiously in those waters - for there be monsters...
