hi head-fi.
i'm about to get ready with a new computer and i'm trying to avoid reusing my internal soundcard (sB zxr) and get an external one.
I've skimmed through the "your setup thread" to get some ideas but (as expected) there are mostly 'multi-component-head-fi style-chains' and that is not what i'm looking for > i'm looking for a 'one-does-it-all-gaming-oriented-box' to supplement my Soundblaster zxr.
i've found only the soundblaster x6 and epos/sennheiser gsx1000 products that kind of suit my needs, but i feel like i'm missing something... or did the improvements in onboard sound over the years kill this market?
any tips? any fiio or ifi products that work great with games (7.1)? or did market go wireless?
