I'm running HD600s with the stock cable. Occasionally I need a couple of more feet. Here are my questions:

1. Do I lose any sound quality using an extension cable, assuming I don't buy a poorly made product? I'm wondering if there's sound degradation from addling length or adding a set of connectors.

2. Is it better to get a longer set of cable made that will connect directly to the headphone?.....assuming this is a custom job, would appreciate vendor recommendations.

Thank you

Under 9 feet you won't get degradation if the connector is clean. Yougreen are Amazon basics are really good, 6ft or less is best though. I've used extension cables on really high end stuff like the Dan Clark Stealth and HD80OS to test with songs with faint instruments like sand shakers you can barely hear, and no difference to the quality or detail.
