It's a long debated subject and probably boring for many but his tests were interesting. Personally, I have loved trying cables but over the years have learnt that I like a good copper cable, well made but not exotic. The equipment I use would never warrant thousand dollar cables anyways. Good quality cables around the $40-50 mark work perfectly in my system (in my sig) and will last a lifetime if looked after. I still like staring at and reading about cables, though. They do titillate me but fortunately no longer titillate my wallet.
Whilst his tests maybe quite right and the audio signal passed identically through different cables, I certainly heard a difference with silver cables and it was one I wasn't keen on personally. So even if the signal was passed identically, the aural result was fairly clear to my ears.
