I own four iOS devices - an iPod Touch 2G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 1G and iPad 2. I have installed the Equalizer app that I purchased from the iTunes App Store on all of my four devices but the Equalizer app looks different on my iPod Touch 2G. On my 2G instead of the fancy EQ adjustments (Curve Screen) by adjusting the dots all I get is a basic 7 band EQ with virtual sliders. How can I access the proper Equalizer app like what it looks like on my other iOS apps?

Do each of the iOS devices have the latest iOS update?
if they are all running the latest firmware update , then the most probable reason for the difference is the graphics capability of the iPd Touch 2G being inadequate. After all it is not a retina display, and most everything is being optimized for this standard.
Our aging devices are, well, aging.LOL

My iPod Touch 2G is the only iOS device I've got that is Jailbroken and it is running iOS 4.0. All my other iOS devices including my iPod Touch 4G are not jailbroken and are running the latest iOS 5.

I know you must be thinking why am I bothering with my iPod Touch 2G when I have the latest 4G iPod Touch. The reason being is that IMO my iPod Touch 2G has better SQ than my iPod Touch 4G.

Oh , I wasn't wondering. I too use my older iPods all the time. the first shuffle I got back in 06 free with my macbook is still the goto machine for most outings It seems to have the best sound of 4 that I have, and the most durable , my 8yr old son is pretty rough on it and it is like the old timex's , "keeps on ticking".
They don't make the newer iPods like that anymore, I have had a couple iTouches have the battery give out just after a year, the 2G and 3of the 3G. for instance.
