EMU 404 Music Volume vs. System Volume

Now that the main stereo has been set up and now that the computer is up and running, it's time to open up a whole new can of worms and learn a little more about the EMU 404.

I'll do some searches to learn more about setting the EMU 404 using the supplied driver/settings screen (the patchmix tool).

Right now I'm at a stumbling point. I haven't decided what MP3 player to get yet, and not sure which software program I'll be using for ripping and organizing.

Can anyone at least tell me how you can set the MUSIC volume separately from the SYSTEM SOUNDS volume level? Sometimes system sounds occur while music is playing and they are too loud...

Set the WAVE control lower. Keep the master volume the same though. Your 0404 should only depend on the player's volume attenuater and the master volume if you are using ASIO or Kernal Streaming.
