Hey guys!!
Just a quick question.

If I buy a shure from electronic expo but at amazons website , will I get the 2 year warranty...is electronic expo an authorized dealer?

Electronic expo on their website says that they are an authorized dealer for all their brands they sell, and I assume this is the same if I go through them through amazon?? If i go to their website they list the shures for 100 while on amazon page it is 60 dollars...is there any reason why?

When i checked shures online website, they dont mention electronic expo as an authorized dealer.

Does anyone know? I am going to be buying something very soon! Thanks!!

They are an Authorized Dealer. You can purchase directly from them or thru Amazon. You will get the 2 Yr Warranty either way.

How do you know they are an Authorized Dealer? They're not on the Shure website, and a lot of people/stores make false claims of being Authorized Dealers.

Because Amazon.com is on the Shure website. If you go to Amazon and select a pair Shure IEM's and it says "Ships from and sold by Electronics Expo." it make Electronics Expo an Authorized Dealer.

I am not sure about this ...., it's better to confirm with Shure in advance.
I remember someone bought one pair of speakers through Amazon market place, later he had trouble with warranty. Although the warranty request was eventually honored, you never know how lucky/unlucky you will be.

He is looking to buy an IEM that is less than $100, and its alot safer than buying from a random guy that doesnt give you a reciept from ebay. In this situation I'd say its safe.

No, it doesn't. Only the ones sold and shipped by Amazon directly are covered. The individual vendors selling on the Amazon market place ARE NOT covered and have to go whatever process Shure has set up to become an Authorized Dealer. You can e-mail Shure customer service if you have any doubts, I am quite positive that they will tell you the same. And while you're at it, you can check to see if that particular vendor is an Authorized Dealer. The list on their website is awfully short, they may have left some of the smaller sellers off.

Shure can be pretty lenient about this, but they aren't always. Unless you're willing to put your money where your mouth is and cover the OPs loss in the event that Shure does not honor the warranty, I'd leave it be.

Thanks a lot! yah I guess I should just check with shure and see. I sent them an email so I will keep you guys updated. If they are not authorized, then I will probably not risk it.

I don't know which model you plan to buy. You can consider buying extended warranty through third party for $15-30, if the price difference is justified. You'll get a new set, or a refund of your purchase price. Like most of warranty, it does not cover human mistakes.
