Hi there,

just got myself a Little Dot MKIII

I find the top end harsh for my liking. I think it sounds boosted. Contacted David at Little DOT and he suggested I try

Mullard EF92/EF91s

My question is. What is the difference between these two? Which would I be better off with?

There might be more documentation here about EF92 tubes since they were used in both the LD2+ and LD2++. I believe the only difference is heater voltage, but other than that they are very similar.

I really liked the Mullard M8083 which is in the EF91 family. It sounds a lot more expansive and has better soundstage compared to the Mullard M8161 while retaining most of its amazing sonics.
