This package just arrived today along with some CD's:

Chet Baker: Deep in a Dream- The Ultimate Chet Baker Collection
Lamb: What Sound limited edition 2CD set
Beck: Sea Change
Dave Alvin and the Guilty Men: Out in California

I'm just getting started with the "Ed Sullivan's Rock 'N' Roll Classics - VIDEO COMPILATION" on DVD...
WOW, talk about nostalgia, this is too much!

"Celebrating the most influential program of its kind, this nine-disc boxed set contains 144 legendary musical performances, including The Beatles' legendary U.S. television debut and The Doors' controversial "Light My Fire" appearance that got them banned from the show. DVD extras include trivia tracks, selected discographies, and interviews with Ed Sullivan and show director John Moffit"

A very cool package-great box, notes, and graphics...what can I say?

It sounds absolutely fantastic ! Must have been a real undertaking to put it together. A definite must have. I was real young but it was on at my house too. Console TV, geez, they were beautiful, eh ? Thanks for the link, great article, great sidebars. Enjoy the set !
