Anyone ordered these from the ear plug superstore? They are available for shure, ety, and the super.fi series. I have the 5pro and am considering them. If anyone has any experience or an opinion please share!

Nope.. But you could get close to $200 for UE's by selling them. With that $100 you spend on the custom molds. You are above $300. I would at least think about the FULL upgrade and nice personal case that you get with UE-5s. Just a thought.

Note that this is not the only place that sells custom molds, Sensaphonics and Westone also do (although I'm not sure if they make any for the sf5pro).

I haven't purchased any custom molds from that company, but I have bought product from them in the past. ER-6, some ER-20s, and a Shure Quietspot. I was very happy with my orders.

Thanks for the response guys.

Powderhound- Does westone make these directly? I did not see them on the website as I looked there prior to looking at other options. Thanks!

if i get custom molds that would fit the UM1 they would fit on the UM2 down the road correct?

second, wouldnt a UM2 with custom molds be the same exact thing as an ES2?

UM56 custom mold will fit on a variety of IEMs, including both UM1 and UM2.

From what I've heard, the difference between UM2 and ES2 is that the entire ES2 is custom, whereas the UM2 is the regular deal with a custom tip on the end. Also, the ES2 has two bores, where the low frequencies use one bore and the high frequencies use the other, whereas the UM2 has one, and the manifestation of this technical advantage appears to be that the highs are better.

Westone is actually the world's largest and top manufacturer of custom earmolds. Most people come to us for the actual manufacturing.

Has anyone tried the vendor yet? I have a new pair of super.fi 5s that I was near to returning (though I love the sound) because of comfort/fit issues, but I think that well made custom eartips/molds would alleviate the problem (soreness in one of my outer lobes when I remove the IEM). I think my left ear is shaped weird because my right ear is perfectly fine.

I'd also be interested if they were full earmolds or eartips (i.e. the UM56 on Westone's site). I think I'd prefer just the tips rather than the whole ear.

So I take it no one has tried the custom earmold/tips from the earplugstore for the super.fi line? Still interested in whether they're just tips (a la UM56) or full earmolds. I think I'd prefer tips, but I'll consider either one.
