Hey guys,

I tried FLAC'ing my Paul Van Dyk - Seven Ways 2 CD set, and around the 2nd track before the end of the first disc it starts jittering and chokes the extraction. Same goes for the last track of the second disc. Tried all kinds of EAC settings and it won't go... just freezes so I have to Skip Track. I tried using CDEX and it would extract it but with jitters. I have looked at the CD's and there are no obvious deep scratches or dirt (the CD has been barely used).

Listening to the Audio CD directly shows no signs of jittering whatsoever. Any insight on how I can properly rip the last tracks?

Cheers,

maxxy

I get that from time to time with some of my older stuff. I never found an answer for it. I almost locked up the PC it seems. I still have some albums missing songs unfortunately.

I assume you've tried this already, but I'll mention it anyway (just in case)... Try ripping the problematic tracks seperately from the other tracks some times on the first pass EAC will have issues but I find that ripping a track by itself often works. Also, try a different drive...

Yes I've tried changing EAC settings and also ripping the tracks one at a time - sadly, didn't work. Guess my only option is to try another drive. I would've thought a Plextor 12/10/32 would've been able to rip it properly :|
