Dx340 Guides (optimization, battery replacements, DIY) discussions

I have successfully made portable batteries packs for dx340 which yield sonic quality surpassing power packs. But it cant compete against my Sigma 11.

However, it is the best solution for being portable, if you are handy, knowing batteries well enough. If you are those RC hobby guys, then you will already know

1/ remember you will need basic solder skills

2/ you will need to buy the charger and set parameters as shown

3/ beware that you will have a live battery packs. Thag means it can not be shorted out under any corcumstances. Therefore, use hot glues as much as where you think it will need.

4/ buy a 3.5mm Plastic Cap and Cap off your DC Barrell when not in uses

5/ Buy a Hardcase to store it inside as I do

This is the pdf guide simplified. If you cant comprehend then dont bother. It isnt a solution for you. Just stick with USB battery packs and a trigger 12V usb to dc connector.

Remember, playing with batteries and DIY batteries = posong dangerous risks of fires. Once batteries are caught on fire...it can not be extinguished. Therefore, this is only Adults playgrounds. All risks are your.

If it soubds too risky ? Dont bother. I say that because for clueless people and carelessness, these stuff are dangerous. If you know what you are doing, then this is nothing

This is how the DC plugs are stored to safety. Jack plug is hung at the handle and when unplugged got capped off

Very interested in this when you publish the guide. Looks like a fun project.

For people who want to follow Remko guide the easiest. Make sure you check out his github oftens. These are the following simpler steps

1/ Make sure you install SDK tool
2/ Follow ReadMe from his releases. This Linked is V4.0 as of todate 3/8/25

3/ If you are confused. Just make sure you run those commands. Especially if you have ADB installed already. Just go to ADB, console, run each command by itself

4/ Another CMD windows will open up. Once it open up, just copy CURL and paste or right click into the CMD, hit enter

This is default toward ECO mode

5/ In order to Invoke MAX mode, which will spend more battery and given the best sonic performances. Repeat those steps but DO NOT UNDO the optimizer, but before the CURL command, type in the DX340 CMD this command export tune=max . Then copy CURL command and paste/right click into the CMD window. This will invoke the MAX tuning profile

Enjoy the music !

*Disclaimer* Max tuning = more battery drainages. Therefore, if you can not hear the differences, please follow to reinstall ECO mode by default.

Also, to best benefit, tap the Square block and pull up all the background running apps, close it all down and Only Leave Music Player as the only app

*Notice* Max tuning is a result of my analyzation, verified by @Stouthart and observed similarly, tweaking with the Dx340 alone using UAPP as the main player with H5 to observe the differences. Firmware 1.0.2.279

Additionally, with HD800s and or modified 800s Anniversary, using Exceria 2TB G2 microSD, Pure silver litz cables with Furutech 4.4 Rhodium and a large library of high Res but testing mainly PCM 16/24 bits of 44.1/48Khz offline

Hi @Whitigir, does running the script removes the ability to stream in apple music? Is this a known issue?

I’m mostly using UAPP but a friend wanted to use my Apple Music but errors are popping up.

Cross Post From The DX340 Thread https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dx3...pdate-amp16-nos-tube-amp.974099/post-18624717

My New DX340 Is fully tweaked, debloated, optimized and burned in. Thank You @Stouthart

Anyway, I know I wrestled a little with using the Android SDK Platform Tools and there have questions posed in this thread so I wrote up a little step-by-step installing and using the SDK to make it super simple for anyone here, who's been thinking about it but has shied away because of uncertainty or perceived complexity. This should make it paint by numbers, 1,2,3 easy. You can grab a printable version here: Installing and Using ADB SDK Platform Tools

I know one of the issues I had was the 340 not connecting properly to my Windows Machine. Rebooting both the PC and the 340 before performing the following fixed it.

Getting Ready – Preparation Windows
  1. Download and Install Android SDK Platform-Tools
    https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools
  2. Unzip The Package (Extract All)
    - This will create a new folder called “platform-tools-latest-windows”
    - Delete the originally downloaded .zip file; you don’t need it anymore
  3. Go To Your “C:” Drive and create a new folder named Android
  4. Cut or Copy the “platform tools” folder extracted in Step 2 and Paste to the “Android” folder created in Step 3
Getting Ready – Preparation DX340
  1. Ensure WiFi is on and connected to a network
  2. Enable “Developer Mode”- Go To Settings > About device > Build number : Tap Build Number 10 times = You’re A Developer
  3. Enable USB Debugging- Go To Settings > System > Developer Options > USB debugging and Toggle On
  4. Attach DX340 to PC via USB
Running Command Prompt To Debloat and Optimize
  1. Run The Command Prompt
    - From Windows search bar type CMD. When it appears, right click and select “Run As Administrator” or simply choose Run As Administrator if the option appears
  2. Change Directory To The Platform Tools Directory
    - at the prompt that opens up, which will look like this PS C:\Users\your username>
    - type or paste this: cd C:\Android\platform-tools-latest-windows\platform-tools
    - please note the above instruction will only work if you followed step 3 and 4 above.
Doing it this way ensures the process is exactly the same for all windows users following of this instruction set.
If you skip step 3 & 4 under "Windows" you will need to change the directory to wherever your unzipped file is located.
  3. now the command prompt should be: PS C:\Android\platform-tools-latest-windows\platform-tools>
    - Now the command prompt is set up properly to use the all the instructions and scripts provided on Github
I hope this helps someone.

I posted this on the other 340 thread but this thread may be a better fit for my question. What are you guys using to charge your DX340? When plugging in a P.D. power charger the charge will start then stop then start again most of the time. Ive verified this with one person but would like to get some more information. Im finding that some P.D. chargers will not even charge the device. It just goes int a charging loop. I have found that Q.C. chargers that support fast charge which is 9v at 1.67 amps work flawlessly. P.D. Is suppose to be backwards compatible with QC standards as long as it supports the 5v 2amp and 9v 1.67 amp output. iBasso is wanting my system back but before I send it off for repair I would like to get a consensus. My unit is only 30 days old. Im hopeful that its a common thing and can be fixed by firmware. I first noticed it using my Mac book brick with a usbc cable. One more question, how do we know the unit is in battery bypass mode? Is that automatic once the battery hits 100 percent?
