I assume this is it?

I've been wanting a better case for my Classic than my soft DLO Action Jacket which was my first case for my 5.5 G.

What I really want is the Black Yo tank.

My Speck case lasted almost 3 years with daily use. It was a rubber case with a window. I don't think they make it anymore but speckproducts.com has ones that look even sturdier.

The Incase leather case for the Classic 160 was about $30 when I bought it. After more than a year's use, it and the Classic have held up with no issues.

It offers reasonable protection, while giving complete access, and has a built-in belt clip.

Highly recommended for commuting.

Just get a rubber case, they are the best, but get the invisible shield as well. I've had my classic for 11 months, and used a leather and a rubber case, the rubber case works best.

I've been using a Speck Toughskin on my 5.5. In searching for a replacement window, I see on the Speck site they're making skins for the Classic. I like my Toughskin, but it makes the iPod much bigger.

(I didn't find a window, so i emailed Speck. They sent me 3 for free)

iSkin Products for your iPod

I used my 60gig 5th gen with what they now call the iskin evo3 classic in Iraq, and after four months the replaceable plastic faceplate of the case was scratched to hell, but there wasn't a single piece of sand on the inside. There were a few particles in the doc connector flap area, but nothing a blower couldn't take care of.

x2 on the Yotank they are a bit pricey and a tad bulky but IMO the best case available for protection and the they look slick and rugged at the same time. I highly recommend it. of course as has been discussed in the gallery they need to be modified to fit LOD's all but the very slim ones wont fit. so you can take to it with a dremel (like I did) or apparently as I have found out post hack; you can send it back and they will do it for free; or I suppose you could ask them to do it before they send it the first time.

Seconded/

iSkin stuff is kind of pricey but they are well worth it. Using a Solo on my iPhone and have used their stuff in the past.

I second the Contour Showcase recommendation. I have used these cases since my 4g iPod. I used an iSkin case before that, but I much prefer the look and feel of the Showcase.

Yes on the contour. The Yo Tank is a beautiful case, however it is heavy so if you carry it in your pocket you may not like it, if you carry it in a bag well then who cares.

Yo Tank iTanks are tough as hell, but at $75 I hope so (still want one). I use the iSkin evo3 & they're just great. At $25 or so they are hard to beat IMO.
Good Luck & Happy Holidays
