Hi folks,

as I still have these bad old 600 ohm DT990s, I organized myself some actual DT880 drivers (

very cheap) & a HD650 cable. Stuff arrived today, but I can't start, as I don't have a f.... clue about the driver's polarity.

Has anybody an idea what is "ground" and what is "+" ???

In respect of the cable, I'm not so frightened, as I can easely measure through, and the two phases with 0 resistance should be "ground".

EDIT: Unpatient me. Declared side "A" to be plus because of that yellow marking nearby. Soldering was easy.

First impressions: Lightyears better than the old 600 ohm 1988 DT990 drivers. A bit tinny compared to my DT770, but things have to settle before I can evaluate anything. What is a bit surprising is the smaller soundscape of the DT880, although the DT770 is a closed can and should be inferior here (theoretically).
