If you would want a comfortable headphones with a strong, dynamic bass for gaming, but not sacrificing too much for the whole soundstage, which Beyerdynamic headphones would you pick?

Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm or Beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition 250 Ohm?

Also, I'm not entirely sure about the impedance. All I know is that my sound card supports up to 600 Ohms. They really made it complicated with so many variations!

Thanks in advance!

I'd go for the DT990 personally, though the DT770 isnt bad for gaming(too bright for music IMO)
I find the DT880 too neutral (bass light IMO) for gaming.
Another solid option is the Philips Fidelio X series.

As to which version to get I'd play it safe and grab the 32 or 250 ohm versions. 600 ohm headphones perform better thru a proper amp, regardless of the marketing mumbo jumbo that soundcard mfgs spew.

What is the make and model of your sound card?
The DT880 is a balanced sound and a little on the bright side.
The DT770 is a strong bass/treble.
I would try and talk you into getting the Soundmagic HP200 headphones.

Also check out the Hifiman HE4XX headphones (I've never used them).

Can you tell me why and which ohm version?
The price difference is also negligible, so I would definitely put it under serious consideration.
Soundmagic HP200 don't exist in my country.

The Dt990 has strong bass/treble, which over shadows the mids, but the mids are clear.
Get the 250-Ohm version of the DT990, I doubt your "600-Ohm" sound card could drive 600-Ohm headphone that well.
Are their other brands of headphones you have access to?
Which make and model sound card do you have?

Does that mean that the DT990 are bright, fatiguing headphones?
From what I've read I think I prefer warm ones, but I'm not sure.
I have this, scroll down to audio.
Lots of others have been happy using the DT990 for surround sound gaming.
I do not think are Dt990 are that fatiguing, I would think the DT770 being a closed headphone, would be more fatiguing,
plus you control the volume.

Recently I bought the dt770 80 omhs version and tested it with Overwatch with Dolby headphones on.

I didn't like them for competitive gaming, the bass is too strong and muffles footsteps and other positional cues.

For music so far I'm enjoying them, they have very good noise isolation ( perfect for work) and at least in the 80omhs the treble is not harsh.

When playing OW and using closed headphones I prefer to use k553 pro mkii. These are more neutral and also have good soundstage for closed headphones. ( The dt770 also has good sound stage but IMO the k553 sound a little bit wider).

If you are not limited to closed headphones, you should consider the k7xx.
