do the current stax 007 mk ii headphones have a port that needs to be occluded for flat base or has Stax closed the port in the latest version of the 007 mk ii

Stax do not seal the port and it is supposed to help the bass if you do. I have not got round to doing mine but I have bought the Blutack.

So I just did it and it is a big improvement to me. The midbass peak is gone and it is still warm and the clarity, spacial content is enhanced. I dont hear anything negative yet but its been 10 minutes. I found putting the cushions back on the most challenging part. also, it takes less bluetack than you would think to obliterate the opening
