Does Progressive Scan on a DVD player affect the audio quality?

Hi, still very new to this site so I apologize for any mistakes, but I love all the information I've received in my very short time as a music/headphone enthusiast.  So my list, I own a pioneer elite dvd player; dv-45a which has a progressive scan option.  I have it connected to a headroom cosmic amp; not reference model, which is connected to HD650. 
 
So, I ask, does the progressive scan option affect the sound quality.  In my searches on line, it only relates to video, but i know this site has many little tweaks so I was looking for some help or info.
