All over the web are reports of Class 1 Bluetooth not offering better range. However virtually all of them report only one Class 1 device, either BT receiver or transmitter. There are several Class 1 BT transmitters and receivers on the market. For example:

Has anyone actually succeded with a pair that provides long range BT? I don't expect full 164ft through walls, but even ~66ft would be more than adequate. It seems strange this hasn't been standardized considering all the expensive BT gear being introduced.
