Personally I have only tried a few cable swaps but have heard no differences between them. Perhaps I should consider myself lucky lol. However maybe they'd be more helpful over in sound sciences for this topic.

I also agree with the aesthetics aspect of it and build quality. I have a few power cables upgraded in my system for this exact reason. They look awesome.

One of the RCA cables I use is Dimarzio (no longer in production). It was described as warmer sounding. I do feel that it is warmer sounding but as I’ve stated before, it could be my imagination or maybe placebo.

Also, I’m too lazy to compare cables.

I don't believe there are any true a/b tests that have shown there to be a difference (as long as the cables aren't damaged, etc.). Then again...there are studies that show people enjoy wine more when they think it costs more, so...

I actually prefer the sound of the less expensive cables that I'm using now than the more expensive Cardas I was using before.
