Do we have any serious producers/recording engineers using Grados?

Honest question.
I have some KRK KNS 8400 and like them very much. On the used market they're worth near nothing which is surprising since I thought they had a great sound reminiscent of Grados, but closed.

I sold my Grados 225-i's recently as they don't get much use. Admittedly I use stock portapros the majority of the time when just listening. I am a bit bored with the KNS 8400 as my only headphones for using while recording, mastering, etc

My main concern is the 225 or other Grados like that would have too much personality to be good for recording. I tend to use flatter, more reference-based speakers when I record.

I'd like to get some Grado RS series but would like some reassurance they have a good place in a studio environment. I don't have to worry about blocking out sound from outside as much as i used to so i'd like to have a more honest open eared headphone to work with.

It would be getting 99% of its use either out of a Midas Venice 32F's headphone out or a E-MU 0404.
