May I ask for suggestions? I'm looking upgrade cable for my JH Roxanne to use with my desktop amp. My amp supported 4Pin XLR, 6.3mm connector. However, I heard that adapter will drop sound quality. Is it true? Now I am considering two options. First use 6.3 mm cable and direct connect to amp, second use 4.4 mm cable and use 4.4mm to 4Pin XLR adapter. Which option should I select?

The balanced XLR or 4.4mm is best because they have a ground wire for better resistance to interference. There's nothing wrong with using an adapter, just clean off the plug end before plugging it in and it's fine. Some of the most expensive headphones come with an adapter since it doesn't affect the sound if it's not defective.
