hey guys, i've spent the last three hours sewing together a set of pads for a vintage pair of headphones i've recently acquired.  but i'm only making one tonight. it's fot a very interesting sound with one type of pad (making it around ear. ) the other just happens to kind of fit and it is on ear. i'm not really sure if i like it... but it sounds interesting that's for sure!. any theories on what's making my head interpret things oddly? (i've got the driver set at an angle in one aswell.)

Well, the frequency response can change quite a bit just by replacing velour with peather pads and vice-versa. Now if you also change the shape of the pads the changes will be even bigger.
