Hi Guys,

I've found a guy locally to me that is selling the Shure e1 and shure e2, the Shure e1's are actually more expensive than the e2 but not by much?

Which is the better headphone for portable use with an mp3 jukebox?

Sorry I would have searched but this feature seems to have been disabled.

Cheers,

well let me tell you dude that the "e" has never been a favorite of mine, I mean I just don't really like the letter itself...

Its like the letter "e" thinks its better or more special then the others cause its a member of the "vowel" gang. Its like dude you just a letter, sure your used a lot but come on man...

I just don't know about the "E" or the "e" is how I like to put it.

actually I never heard these before but i wanted to join the thread cause My friend was asking about these...thanx..ok im going to sleep

Some people have made the claim that the e1 is more balanced than the e2 and has more details. The e2 looks much cooler. The e1 is definitely not stylish.

E2 requires filter replacements. I believe that the e1 can be cleaned with an ear wax removal tool device.

the e1 is also incredibly grainy, although i can't compare it to the e2 as i've never heard that phone. though they may or may not be more "balanced," they seemed to be fairly light on the bass as well (not just felt bass, but heard bass).

The e1's are the predecessor to the e3's, with slight sonic differences i believe.

So the sound should be slightly more detailed than the e2's, but with less oomph!

Get the e2's, the e1's are Butt-ugly!

Yes, the E3's replaced the E1's. The E2's are Shure's answer to cheap canal phones. So in terms of audio quality, the E1's would be considered superior to most ears.

One thing I do like about the E1's is the flesh colored phone and cable (I'm caucasian), which blends in better -- at a glance it's not obvious you're wearing phones. They are also nice and narrow -- they almost disappear in your ear canal.
