Difference between Marantz 2230B and 2230?

I'm too confused about this whole B model designation.

What's the difference between the 2230B and the 2230? It seems like on the web pages they have a lot of information on the 2230 but not the 2230B (such as original price, date of manufacture, etc.)

I can only speculate here, but the difference between my 1060B and the 1060 was that the B lacked a midrange control. Other than that I think it was the same innards.
