Just want to make sure that the Headroom Desktop amp with desktop power supply can sufficiently power the beyerdynamic 600 ohm headphones, or would it be better to go with the 250 ohm version of the DT880?

Anyone have experience using this amp with the 600 ohm versions of the beyerdynamics?

I have the 250 ohm DT990 Pro and it sounds good (thanks Mike O. for the Max module upgrade) but now I'm curious about the DT880. I think it's worth trying out as another alternative to the HD650.

I believe that a big table amp like this one can effectively drive 600 Ohm 'phones...FCOL my Total Airhead manual says "it can drive *any* headphones except AKG-KK and electrostatic" so the desktop will do the job. Hopefully.

yeah...don't worry about it. headroom and insufiecency are two words that don't go together.
