Anybody has any info on this particular model? I have the possibility to buy one and all I could find was that it is a '92 micro system who sold for 800$ at the time... I'm wondering how much I should spend on it and if it's worth it?

that's all I could find...

If it's disceet components, each with and individual power input then chances are that the amp and tuner sections will still be good. The cassette and CD are likely to be less reliable at this point though.

It depends on what you want it for? if it's just to have a hi-fi of some sort then there are much much better things out there for similar amounts of money 2nd hand. A good article here http://www.tnt-audio.com/guide/index.html although some of these things you may not be able to find for the same amounts if you are not in Europe.

If you want some kind of matching minisystem then I would be inclined to pay a bit more for something like a Bang and Olufsen 5000 system which you could find for around 4-500UKP if you buy the whole thing or even less if you buy the individual parts.

I can get the whole working thing for a 100$, I figured if I get better speakers it should be pretty good? but then it is really old so I don't know... thanks for the link
I think it looks pretty good though

Test the CD player and tape to make sure they are 100% working. Even if it's been lightly used the moving parts wear and in a midi system weren't all that to start with.Tape decks like this are pretty much worthless these days. Old CD players like that ditto. The Reciever bit will probably be ok but check on what inputs it has ie. whether it has an aux for you computer etc.

100USD is ok if for this it's all working flawlessly and is absolutely mint which is looks to be. I'd offer 50 and work it from there as these things have zero resale value beyond their utility.

But you could probably also get a vintage reciever from Marantz or Pioneer and a decent old Marantz CD player like the CD52 which are proper Hi-Fi and would sound and be built much better than this Denon set for around the same or less if you scour the local classifieds and craigslist.
