Hello everyone.

Been a member for quite sometime and love researching Head-Fi gear but need some opinions.

I purchased the Hiby R5 when it was first released after coming across the reviews on here and I use it everywhere but now looking for a dedicated dap that I can keep in the car permanently.

I mainly use my own music collection stored on SD card along with Spotify downloaded to my Spotify library.

The car doesn't have Android Auto so will be playing through Bluetooth or USB-C, there's no Aux in.

I've looked at the Hiby M300 which should do the job, just wondered if anyone has any other thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

Being you are looking to use Spotify, you need to stay with an Android based DAP. The M300 is a fine Dap, and it would be the starting point for Android Daps. Anything below that is not worth the time or your funds.

Thanks for the info. Yes for the price it looks ideal for what I need. :ok_hand:
Just came across the Hiby R4 for around £40 more than the M300 so might go with that.

Had a bit of a think on this and wonder if someone could help answer a few questions.

So as stated I'm looking for a DAP to use permanently in the car more than likely via Bluetooth and use the USB-C for charging.
The Hiby M300 has Bluetooth 5 - Android 13 and Snapdragon 665.
The Hiby R5 has Bluetooth 4.2 - Android 8.1 and Snapdragon 425.
Looking at the specs above would it make any difference if I'm using them solely to Bluetooth Spotify downloads and stored music to the car audio.

The reason being I might use the R5 for the car and upgrade to R6 iii or something similar, is the R4 an upgrade?

Thanks in advance.
