I'm putting together a rig to use with MacMini M2 2023. Are there any DACs that allow for volume control using the volume keys on a keyboard? I've tried iFi Zen Sig V2, and Modius E. Both of them disable keyboard control when active.

I've been using the headphone out straight to Vali 3 using 3.5 to dual RCA with good results, but wouldn't mid a "real" DAC :)

I see a few Questyle USB-C dongle DACs that look like they might work since they don't have volume control buttons.

Budget is <$400.

Khadas Tone 2 pro I think. You can flash firmware so the volume wheel on the dac is synced with mac os volume and vice-versa
