[Serpentine]

I've been looking for a currently available CD player with a nice output (still to be used with an amp, of course) .. but reading these forums, the most props seems to go to players that are either quite hard to find, or haven't even been sold for 5 years.

What are the present options for good quality CD players? (portable, of course) Which companies still make clean line-outs? What is complete garbage?

Feel free to link me to other threads too - not knowing much on the issue, I haven't been able to find much useful running searchs.
