Anybody have experience with both new cd/md decks from Sony, the mxd-d40 and the d5c? Or does anyone recommend any of the other cd/md decks from other companies?

Any comments on cd playback sound quality and md playback sound quality?

I own the MXD-D5C, its quite a snazzy deck. Cd playback quality is ok via the headphone jack, mind you i really dont bother with speakers since their terrible quality. I mostly use the deck to make quick copies from cd to md at 4x and it works beautifully. Changing and adding cds is a snap, although i find the cd changer to be a bit noisy. MD copies sound great, i have no issues at all. I've even recorded LP>MD and love what i hear. Let me know if you have more specific questions regarding this deck.
