Has anyone heard anything about these CCR remasters? I saw an ad for them in Sterephile by Acoustic Sounds. I checked their website and they have the 180g LPs but no SACD that I saw. Anyone know the release date?

My last issue of Acoustic Sounds doesn't list the SACD. You might want to search or ask the question at the Steve Hoffman forum. Steve and Kevin Gray did the re-mastering.

I'm thinking about getting the hybrid SACD of Cosmo's Factory since I've only heard good things about it. Any Head-Fiers get the SACD CCR remasters yet?

only two titles have been released on SACD so far "Cosmos Factory" and "Willie and The Poorboys".I have them both and i bought all the vinyl.I also have all the original issues.The SACDs are just as amazing as the Rolling Stones ABKCO titles.They sound fantastic.You won't be dissapointed with these discs.

Here's an excerpt from the Steve Hoffman Newsletter, Vol. 5 that I received way back in 9/1/02.

For Analogue Productions I've completed the first three CREEDENCE
CLEARWATER REVIVAL albums for dual-layer SACD. The first Creedence album
had "I Put A Spell On You" and "Susie-Q" (one of my all-time favorite
"cover" songs) on it, the second album (Bayou Country) has "Proud
Mary", "Born On The Bayou" and some classic album tracks! Of course,
many consider the best Creedence album "Green River", from 1969, with
"Bad Moon Rising", the title track, "Lodi", "Commotion" and other songs
with the same "chooglin" swamp feel.

If you think you know Creedence, wait until you hear these SACD's.

My earlier masterings of "Willie And The Poor Boys" and "Cosmo's Factory"
are almost ready for release. KILLER ALBUMS! Please check the Acoustic
Sounds website (a link on my homepage) for release dates.
