As the title says, I am exploring and would like fellow enthusiasts to recommend top of the line / cost no object DAPs thats sounds great with the intent to acquire. At the moment, I have a FIIO M17 which I like a lot but would like to know what else is better.

1) Headphones / IEM are Focal Utopia or ZMF Caldera or UM Maven 2

2) Sweet vocals is a priority

Thanks.

ZMF need a source no DAP can provide. I would suggest any DAPs from Luxury & Precision's, or Cayin N30LE. For headphone, you probably want to add a portable amp to DAPs.

If you like the FiiO M17 then you should know that FiiO intends to refresh that one with an M27 next month.

I use a Topping G5 with the phone using USBPlayerPro if I need portability with hard to drive headphones like to demo to someone on the road. The G5 is amazing, 120 SINAD, 10oz, 6.5 hours on medium gain with full size headphones like planar magnetics I've got. I don't think any DAP would have enough power or last very long with the stuff you have at loud volumes. On the Dan Clark Stealth I had in last month, the G5 sounded excellent.
