Hey all,

First time poster here. Its that time again... time to spend the tax refund.

I've set aside $200-400USD (flexible) to upgrade my PC speakers. Yay. =)

Candidates (Thus Far):

Audioengine A2 / 5
Swan D1010mk4 / D1080mk4
Fostex PM0.4n / PM0.5n
M-Audio AV40 / BX5
Adam A3X / ARTist 3
Focal XS 2.1 (lil' pricey)
Genelec 8010 / 8020 (pricey, likely out of my budget)
B&W (Wilkins) MM-1 (lil' pricey)
B&O (Olufsen) BeoLab 4 (pricey, whats up with these guys? seem like all form and no function. their grille covers cost $123.)
Alesis M1 Active 520 / 620
KRK Rokkit RP6G2

The PC they're connecting to is an Intel-based (X79) i7-3930k system with a Asus Xonar STX. Listening will be done in a 10x10 office with door closed the majority of the time, with about a 70%/20%/10% Music/Gaming/Movie content distribution. Genre of music varies wildly -- everything from the silky-smooth voice of Norah Jones to the deliciously-complex polyrythms of Tool's Danny Carey.

Thoughts? Recommendations? What should I remove/add to the list? Personal experiences from owners?

I have heard all of the Rokit's, the 5's, 6's, and 8's. They are fun to listen to, and not fatiguing. I personally have the 8's.
