I think it is so funny that you guys use the word "comfy" when describing something that is comfortable. 105 threads when I searched for the word.

We're all just unsuspecting sheep, intoxicated by the sheer marketing brilliance of our friends at Headroom. (They love to use that adjective)

If you want to get deeper into this, someone on Headwize starting using the term Comfy pads to label the flat grado sr-60 pads. I have no idea who started it, could have been me for all I know, but I don't think so. Also used was donut pad (which was use for the old style flat grado pads, but many times for the newer pads, but it's supose to be use only for the old pads) and bowl pads to label the newer grado pads.

I think that Car and Driver used to use it in the late 70s. It is as common in the states as refering to the refridgerator as "fridge".

It was also used in an old Monty Python skit.
I don't remember the exact line, but something like "Cardinal Fang, fetch the comfy chair". I will check my database (I have every episode on DVD).
