I've been looking into building a powerful (but PORTABLE) amp ... and came across this eBay listing ... an iteration on an old friend. (RIP Chu Moy!!).
$80.00 is a bit steep but not out of the question.
In any case, I want to modify my EXISTING CMoy amp to 1-watt.
How should I begin?
Thanks!

P.S. Why 1 watt for a headphones? Believe it or not, I want a powerful headphone amp for IEMs!! The new Tin P2 (planar mag. IEMs need decent power). And then there is issue with beyer dt-880 600-ohm!!

big deal.... The max supply voltage for OPA551 is +/-30v, with high enough voltage it will send out 1000mW to 600 loads.

(not saying the beyer will ever need more than 1mW).
Sir please I do not know what this means I am tearing my hair out I will likely just buy a Fiio E12 I don't know what to do I just bought a discrete dac/amp and will buy a power brick, powered USB to run it off and duck tape all 3 units together to make my own "portable" amp I am literally crying (not really)

plz halp
