Aright, I just finished building my first cmoy with vishay resistors and panasonic caps and am anxious to build another. Long story short I recieved a lot of maybe 300 resistors, but they are tiny... I did some research and I beleive they are 1/8 watt resistors... jsut wanted to know if theyd be suitable for building a cmoy powered by a 9v.

I was also wondering if caps could be interchanged without any negative effects... I noticed people talking about how more capitance (eg 1000uf) delivers more bass or richer sound...

Using Tangents designs, would I be able to replace the 220's with 470uf or 1000uf capacitors? Would it be of any benefit?

Larger cap would result in no benefit (after a point, such as 400 uF total), get better quality lower capacitance than the other way around.

1/8 is normal.

1/8W Resistors are OK for Cmoy.

You can exchange 220uF to higher value capactors.
I'd say... going to 470uF from 220uF impacts sound a lot, sepecially at lower frequency (bass). so, putting 470uF instead of 220uF is highly recommended.

Going to 1000uF from 470uF makes little difference at bass. You may or may not able to feel it. So, is it worth to do that? For some people with sensitive ears, yes... otherwise, not really.

Over 1000uF? Sure, why not? But I think that will be a perfect example of waste of your money.
