For closed back I'd wait for the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X to come out soon for $199. I have a DT177x and really like them also. The closed back value for money is the Hyperx Audeze Cloud Orbit which you can get used at a good price since they aren't in production anymore.

I wonder how would they compare against the OG's they say the sound will be the same but they are using a new driver.:thinking:

I have the hyperx cloud orbit, they are good if you like planar headphones but too uncomfortable. I prefer dynamic headphones and recommend denon ah d5200 and d2000. I like these last more, try to search for an used pair, they worth it

i do like my d2000 but isolation is poor and lets them down.
i prefer my modded dt770 tbh. modded using mass loading and damping kit from custom cans.
they have some nice pre-made versions too
