im 100% a newby to amplification. How do i plug the mojo (1st version ) to my HIby R6 or my Ibassso DX160
I havent a clue and help is very much appreciated..What settings do i need to change on the devices themselves? I do have the mini usb to usb mini cable which i presume will be the connector. I also have an iphone 15 pro that i would also like to amplify as well for long trips.
Thank you all !

Generally just plug it in using USB.

There can be a setting to adjust the USB output volume on the DAP but often they will default to fixed maximum. If there is volume adjustment on the USB output of the DAP set it to maximum and control the volume on the Mojo.

I believe the DX160 has a coaxial digital output through the 3.5mm headphone port. There will be a setting in the audio setting to change the output to coaxial, often called SPDIF. With an iBasso a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm interconnect cable will work with the coaxial output and that plugs into the rear "COAX" port of the Mojo. The cable must have the three section 3.5mm plug called a TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve).

With the Hiby I understand it has no coaxial output and you have to use the USB output.

The USB cable you need is a USB-C to Micro USB. The USB-C end goes into the port on the bottom of the DAP and the Micro end plugs into the left USB port when looking at the rear of the Mojo, next to the "COAX" 3.5mm port, the other USB is the charge only port.

I am not familiar with either DAP so can't give specific help beyond the above, hope that is enough to get you going.

All good Stewart,

Hopefully that gets you started, please report back how you get on good, bad or otherwise.

It is very simple in principle but, like anything, if you haven't done it before some things are not always obvious.
