Zach's headphone seems to be really good if you're a high db listener. I had Rage Against the Machine knocking my head around for a few minutes and his headphone never choked at that extreme level. My ears hurt by his headphones didn't blink an eye being hit that hard.

Thanks Jason - we share a love of RATM!!!  That's a great picture of us above aye!?  I'm thinking about cropping myself out as a professional headshot for my linkedin.

I love the Z1R, I only get to hear it in short bursts at meets, but everytime I hear it I absolutely adore it.  Sony really nailed it with the Z1R and the whole series in general.

I didn't get to listen a ton at the meet, but highlights for me included checking out the AKG 872 and Ether C out of the AmpAndSound, awesome setup and made those headphones shine.  I also really enjoyed hearing the Tungsten on my new line-up as well as @PoochZag's new ZD, they are both really awesome.  @Hisoundfi Aune amp is really cool as well and sounded great for a minute I got to check it out.  What model was that?

Seeing the Cayin gear was greta as well as I don't get to play around with it much, it all sounded great and that portable player is very nice.

Which Portable? The Sony 1Z I brought or another?

The 1Z is incredible and in another league of any portable that I've ever tried both aesthetically and sonically.  I love the weight of the unit and of the sound!  But the Cayin portable at the price point is really nice too, I forget the name of it.

Yeah, the 1Z is incredibly musical and plays everything other than MQA. Impressive piece. I don't sell Cayin so I'm not allowed to comment

The i5. I've got it and in my opinion is unbeatable at it's price point.

Soon as my Eikon arrives I'll be doing a three way review comparison with the Ether C Flow and Z1R. Can't wait!

Bummed I missed this meet. I just ordered the Zana to use with my HD 800 but I would have loved to hear it with the Utopia. Anyone else have any thoughts on the Zana/Utopio combo?

I just listened to the ZD with the new ZMFs, but that's a heck of an amp you have on the way. Nice, big 3D soundstage. I listened to "Layla" from Clapton's Unplugged album and it was very holographic with nice tonality.
