If anyone is into electrostatic headphones in Chicago area you should call Ray Samuels and see if you could stop by to hear his latest, the B-21 Raider, it is truly a beast. I just got back from Rays listening to it with his SR-X9000, the Shangri-La Jr and the Audeze CRBN. It also has his best ever solid state amplifier included as well. Best listening experience I have had with any setup.

There is no DAC built. Your choice of source. It includes 2 RCA inputs so you can connect a phonostage even.

Also, isn't he like 80 now? He should just enjoy life and retirement - and his Lambo of course.

Great question, I'm in the same boat. Mainly interested in the head-fi stuff, so I assume the thing to do is bring a collection of ear tips for use on item's? and a source

Being a Chicago local, I have gone every year. I tend to only go on Sunday because it's less crowded. I primarily focus on headphone gear but I do plan out the individual audio rooms I want to experience. If you're interested in everything and you're only going one day, it's essential to plan it out because you can't see it all and you will run out of time. Also, rooms will start breaking down and packing up prior to the actual show closing time on Sunday, so keep that in mind.
