What is Chi-Fi? Are the KZ EDX Pro and KZ EDC Pro inears are Chi-Fi or Chi-Fi is just high-end inears made great quality in China?

Some inears sold in Brazil, many unknown brands, have a white or black shell and a common cable but are made in China. Examples of models: Lehmox LEF1006, HMaston EJ-S8... They are made in China, so are they Chi-Fi?

Chi-Fi is just inears or also speakers and DACs?

It's a term for Chinese Hifi and not everyone feels comfortable using it. Ive bought almost every product Topping and SMSL make, and they really compete with the high end offerings. It's not just IEMs which have gotten amazing with technology advances, while prices plummeted.

Does Chi-Fi have nothing to do with the quality of the near and far audio it provides? Is every inear Chi-Fi regardless of the quality of materials and construction?

If it’s made in China, yes. It is simply Hi-Fi products built and sold from China. I know some of the Hong Kong brands don’t want to be called Chi-Fi, even if they technically are. And as I said before, som people would consider brands from oter SAE country’s Chi-Fi. It is after all just a internet made term😊

Edit: Many products are built in China, but aren’t called Chi-Fi, Apple products for example.

Imo, think of whatever you would call Hi-Fi normally, then if its made in China, then Chi-fi. Tada!

Everything made in China is called Chi-Fi. To a certain extent from the rest of south east Asia also. KZ is definitely Chi-Fi😊

I'd rather say that if the company is Chinese, with their headquarter being located in China as well, then it's "Chi-Fi" (totally non-judgemental; the quality and fidelity offered by Chinese companies for comparatively little money is just crazy good these days), otherwise one could call products from Sennheiser, AKG, EarSonics, Shure or Westone "Chi-Fi" as well.
