Hi there.
Recently purchased a Stax SR-44 unit (SR-40 cans with SRD-4 energizer). It was a decent price and I've wanted a pair for a while so I jumped on it without doing much of any research. As luck would have it, they seem to work and sound fine, but my Schiit Magni 3+ simply does not have the output power to drive them at a listenable volume. From what I've seen, they need 5-10W but can take up to 50W, and the Magni can push out <2.5W at best. I'm perfectly happy with my Magni and have no desire (or resources) to upgrade from it, so I'm looking for a piece of hardware that can supply sufficient power to these as cheaply as possible (and with decent fidelity). Open to any suggestions, but I'd rather not spend anywhere north of $50.
Thanks!
